COVID-19 safety

The running of SST2022 will be informed by current ACT Health guidelines and ANU-specific protocols.

Masks are not mandated in most settings in the ACT, but we recommend you carry one with you and check current ANU mask guidelines at the time of your travel.

Please do not attend SST2022 in-person if you are exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19. The remote attendance option will be there as a backup if you need to isolate.

We recommend that you travel with a device and headphones in case there is a situation where you have already travelled to Canberra and need to isolate in your accommodation, but still want to be able to attend conference sessions.

If you require a PCR test, there are a number of testing sites in the ACT. If you have a car, the Mitchell drive-through testing site is open 8am to 2pm. The Garran surge centre is accessible by foot and open 10 am until 6.30pm (with parking available at the centre).

If you would like to purchase a RAT, there is a pharmacy on campus in Kambri. There is also a pharmacy on Northbourne Avenue near the Alinga Street light rail stop, and additional stores in the city centre.
