Poster format and printing
We ask all presenters (whether presenting in person or remotely) to prepare an A0 poster (84.1 x 118.9 cm). The poster boards are 210cm x120 cm, so there is room for posters to be displayed as either portrait or landscape.
We will be sharing all posters via the online Zoom Events platform, so please upload both your poster (.pdf) and your powerpoint slide (see below) to this poster session folder by 9am AEDT on Friday 9th December, using your submission ID as the file name.
For those who are presenting in person, please set your poster up by lunchtime on the day of the poster session (Thursday 15th December). Your poster board number will be your submission number. A volunteer at the registration desk will provide you with pins.
If you need to get your poster printed locally, the nearest option is Officeworks Braddon, about a 15-20 minute walk from the conference venue. You can send poster printing through online a couple of days in advance of pick-up. Allow extra time for pick-up, as the print desk can be quite busy at times.
For those who are presenting remotely, we will facilitate your poster being printed and displayed. We’ll be in contact with you directly about this.
Both in-person and online poster presenters should ensure they can find the chat channel associated with each poster – further details on the poster session page.
Poster ‘speed presentations’
In order to accommodate the hybrid format, we will be including ‘speed presentations’ of the posters. This will involve a one-minute talk in which you will summarise (or spruik) your poster, with a single powerpoint slide to speak to. The speed presentations will take place at the beginning of the poster session, and the order of these will be as listed in the programme.
To facilitate a quick changeover between presenters, please upload your single slide (.pptx) to the poster session folder by 9am AEDT on Friday 9th December, along with your poster, also using your submission ID as the file name. These slides will be put together in the one PPT presentation from which you will give your speed talks.
If you have any issues uploading your slide or poster, please email sst2022conf@gmail.com. If you have queries about the poster session after the conference has started, please seek out committee member Catherine Travis. Committee members will have orange name badges, and volunteers with yellow name badges can point you towards them.
